Empowering health care providers in research skills workshop

·       The librarian participates as a speaker in the Empowering health care providers in research skills workshop which was organized by Directorate of health services of Al-Buraimi Governorate.

The workshop was held on 22nd -24^th December 2014, at Directorate General of Education Training Center, Al Sunaina Hall.

 

 

The medical librarian present a specialized session in writing literature review

 

In the presentation the librarian highlighted three main areas:

1.  Defined what a Literature Review  is
2. Organizing a Literature Review
3. Witting a Literature Review

 

D-space softwarerepository for interloan articles.

·  The numbers of ILL request have increased by more than 50 percent which reflects the awareness of the users to such service and the capability of librarians to meet the users’ needs.

In conjunction with service upgrade, the librarian had installed the D-space software creating open access repository for the requested articles.  The articles are listed   into communities and the collections and sub-communities based on their subject.

Community Outreach

Buraim Hospital  medical library expand its user education programs to outreach community trough organizing lectures to help raise awareness on the importance of reading and using library and learning resources among school students.
